Fifteen Stops to Old Street

For me the beauty in Art is not a recognition that an Artist has "created" something, but moreso a greater feeling that he or she has brought together elements which were already in existence - in a way that the observer can appreciate.

Electricity isn't "created" but merely chanelled - in the way fire hasn't been invented but merely discovered. Similarly, an artist uses oil, canvas or mixed media to "discover" what was essentially waiting to be discovered. Photographers can manipulate a scene using light, perspective and direction - and create an infinite number of varying takes on a single image - all very different, but all very real.

I guess all creation on this Earth therefore exists, but we simply have to discover it. It then follows that inventions are simply discoveries, and creativity is merely a journey to discovery, right?

Personally I am all for furthering the human experience so I say mush on Artist's and lead the way!!

At this point I reached my destination on the London Underground, and my thoughts turned to breakfast.
